EXPERIENCE

I.S. Engineers, LLC – Project Engineer – 10/2014 to present
■ Lead Engineer for SH 150 Super 2 construction in Lufkin District. Responsible for production of all plans,
specifications, and estimates for this 7.5 mile, $14mm project, including supervision of production staff and
coordination with other PEs. Other responsibilities include field visits, progress reports, supplemental project
documentation, and attendance at DSR, 30%, and 60% submittal meetings.
■ Schematic Development Task Lead for IH 30 reconstruction between IH 20 and IH 820 in Fort Worth District.
Proposed alternatives include ramp reversals, relocated direct connectors, and innovative intersections
including a modified diverging diamond and a roundabout-based diverging diamond.
■ Civil Task Lead for Hardy Toll Road EZTag conversion. Responsible for mainlane and ramp pavement
reconstruction, removal, signing and pavement markings, and complex multi-sequence traffic control at
mainlane toll plaza locations. Supervised EITs in the preparation of PS&E for this fast-track project.
■ Designed signing and pavement markings for SH 199 Freeway, Fort Worth District; US 183 Super 2,
Brownwood District; various FM roads, Paris & Odessa Districts Responsible for PS&E for the same.
■ Responsible for hydraulic analysis, storm drainage design, and reports for SH 21 access management
project, Bryan District; SL 360 Superstreet upgrade in Austin District; and US 183 Super Two conversion in
Brownwood District. Produced plans, specifications, and estimates. Supervised production staff.
■ Upcoming projects include FM 2268 Salado bicycle, pedestrian, and streetscape improvements (Waco
District) and signing and pavement marking plans for SH 121 (Fort Worth District).

Traffic Engineers, Inc. – Associate – 02/2013 to 09/2014
■ Schematic Designer for City of Houston Pre-Engineering for Major Street and Traffic Improvements for three
corridors: Crosstimbers Street, Victory Drive, and Little York Road. Proposed innovative designs including a
grade separation with quadrant-type intersection, buffered parallel parking, and side transit boarding islands.
■ Designed two multi-use trails for the Houston Parks Board’s Bayou Greenways program. Responsibilities
included horizontal and vertical alignment, drainage design to COH IDM, production of plans, specifications,
and estimates, permitting, signatures, and prebid/preconstruction meetings and correspondence.
■ Designed a roundabout in Sugar Land, TX. Responsibilities included geometric design, grading, drainage, incircle
and advance signage design using SignCAD, and PS&E production. Two designs were created; low-cost
design based on substantial re-use of existing pavement, high-cost design involving total reconstruction.
■ Schematic Designer for reconstruction of FM 1092 in Stafford. Proposed improvements included intersection
realignments, landscaped median with channelized turn lanes, and driveway consolidation. Companion urban
design study by Asakura Robinson used new intersections as the basis for “urban village” redevelopment.
■ Designed a traffic control plan and temporary pavement for Walker Street in Downtown Houston to enable
construction of the Marriot Marquis hotel.
■ Designed overhead signs and supports for Sam Houston Tollway Ship Channel Bridge EZTag conversion
using TxDOT COSS/OSB design methodology.
■ Designed three traffic signals on Holman Street in Houston’s Midtown as part of a redevelopment project.
■ Designed several sidewalks for the Greater East End Management district, including drainage reconstruction.
■ Shepherded several full plan sets through the City of Houston Review & Permitting Process.

PennDOT Highway Delivery Division – Senior Civil Engineer Transportation – 10/2012 to 01/2013
■ Reviewed roundabouts, bridges, and corridor plans for good design and compliance with criteria.
■ Ran the Department’s monthly consultant selection meetings, including rankings and QA of SOQs.
■ Reviewed consultant overhead rate submissions for compliance with PennDOT, FAR, and AASHTO.

PennDOT Highway Delivery Division – Civil Engineer Transportation – 12/2010 to 10/2012
■ Reviewed roundabouts, bridges, and corridor plans for good design and compliance with criteria.
■ Responsible for Design CPM Schedule accuracy and QA for four districts covering 1/3rd of the state.
■ Rewrote the Department’s training manual for project scheduling (Publication 615).

■ Formed a sole proprietorship LLC to market site design and lot layout concepts to developers.

■ Created an alternate schematic design for Houston’s IH-610/US-290 interchange as part of SOQ process.
■ Designed stormwater collection and detention for SH-71/US-183 interchange using GEOPAK drainage.
